On the 4th of September 2002 the results of the Modernisation of the Year competition in 2001 were provided. Allcon SA was awarded with a distinction, in a category of hotels and buildings for tourism, for modernisation of the Opera Hotel in Sopot.

Two building projects executed by Allcon S.A. were awarded in the 12 th edition of a prestigious national competition: the Building of the Year 2001. Second prize in ' Developments and modernizations' category was given to Rezydent Hotel in Sopot. Distinction in the category of public buildings went to Business Administration College in Gdansk.

In the history of any building one can distinguish particular stages of development which according to the building tradition are solemnly celebrated. On the 4 th of October the weather was favourable. WITAWA building site in Witomino, one of Gdynia districts, was visited by many eminent guests who arrived here in order to take part in the ground breaking ceremony. The project of the most magnificent apartment and services complex in Tri-City area, which is the result of co-operation between two companies: ALLCON OSIEDLA and ECOLAN S.A., was from the very beginning under the auspices of Gdynia officials. They were present that day including president of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek and chairman of the City Board Stanisław Szwabski. President of Allcon Osiedla – Arkadiusz Łuczycki confirmed that the investment in Witomino will be one of the biggest in Tri-City area. Due to the services and trade infrastructure, which is part of project design, it will not only serve neighbouring city dwellers but also appear, as far as technology and town-planning is concerned, on the map of modern investments.
