"Redlowska Plate is proceeding renaissance again. Over pre-war house province in 60’s and 70’s arose high-rises. Also at that time many schools, kindergartens, clinics and shops were build. Great although green and with a beautiful view Gdynia’s bedroom arose.
On ravine of 70’s and 80’s into the province moved the “individuals" that cause the arise of extending above the steep streets and narrow many-storey privates.
The ravine of 80’s and 90’s is the time of building the housing estate “Osiedle Zielone" - house buildings in different scale, connecting to the pre-war tenement-houses.
The ravine of XX and XXI century is the next stage of province development this time in new size. This age initiated the building of Redłowski Stok complex. Soon there will increase next architectural complex which will change a face of district. The beginning in area of Redlowska St. investment by developer companies Allcon Osiedla and Margo determine Redłowo to be one of the biggest building place in Tricity. "... Building in the corner stone opened yesterday the build of modern rehabilitation and office complex at Popiela Street and Zwycięstwa Ave. The complex will be the new set of VECTRA S.A. company. Allcon S.A. from Gdynia is the general contractor of the investments.
On the surface area of 7.000 m2 until March 2005 there will arise two modern buildings not only with office spaces but also with rehabilitation rooms, saunas and water-lashes. Initially the rehabilitation objects will be available only for VECTRA workers but in the close future it will be also open for Gdynia inhabitants use. "...In this year edition of "The Building of the Year 2003" competition Allcon S.A. got a favoritism in “Commercial Building" category for the realization of commercial building “The Crooked House" in Sopot at Bohaterów Monte Cassino 53 Street.
This is surely the biggest lost of the competition. On the award ceremonial which took place on past Friday in Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, just a few awarded buildings rise such interests, none such excitement like the magic house in Sopot. A whisper passed over the room when “dancing" facade was showed on the screen...
One of the competition court member admitted in confidence that also during jury proceedings there were a great discussion about this realization. Well, realization – although great – proved to be, in jurys opinion, too expensive. Brave project was “plunge" by not bagatelle costs of adopted innovators architectonic concepts and materials.
Maybe in the future it is worth to discuss and defend the vision of not banal architecture? Prague in Czech Republic has promoted “The Crooked House" on one of the tourist biggest attraction. After all it is the investor who decides how much money to spend on the realization. It is hard to accuse anything to the quality of the realization which is absolutely accordant to the best building art.
The building, in spite of its “dancing" form, is great matched to the frontage of the street and by its with its floors refers to cornices and floors of neighbouring buildings." / Dziennik Bałtycki, 29.06.2004

"...It is for the 14th time Polski Związek Inżynierów i Techników Budownictwa decreed prizes in "The Building of the Year" competition. The ceremonial took place on Friday 25th of June in Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, during the gala of 70th anniversary of the organization.
Among the 59 buildings classified to the final, there were over a dozen from Pomeranian province. One of them was a Crooked House form Sopot which was rewarded in commercial buildings category.
